Before you have a welder build you a custom arch, take a look at the kits from FishOnSports and Atlantic Towers. I am in the middle of installing a FishOnSports arch on the stern of my Morgan 462, and it is very sturdy. I’m going to be using it as dinghy davits and as a place to mount solar panels.
Thanks for the tip! We have heard of Atlantic towers a but not Fishonsports, so we’ll check them out. We were going to a welder because there’s a dive boat builder across the interstate from us and our family knows the owners and the welder. The welder makes all the tuna tower and flying bridges for the dive boats with aluminum tubing. We’ll be using ours for radar, antennas, etc.
